The Pool Of Tears by Peter Weevers is from the story Alice in Wonderland

It was high time to go, for the pool was getting quite crowded with the birds and animals that had fallen into it: there were a Duck and a Dodo, a Lory and an Eaglet, and several other curious creatures. Alice led the way, and the whole party swam to the shore.

Lewis Carroll's stories about Alice have inspired numerous artistic impressions, not all of which have made it into a book. This image appeared in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll, Peter Weevers.

The Pool of Tears

How serene does little Alice look as she paddles her way to shore through a river of her own tears! Peter Weevers painted 100 watercolour illustrations for his interpretation of Lewis Carrol's Alice in Wonderland, basing Alice on his own daughter, Tilia.
This is a giclee art print on Hahnemuhle German Etching textured 310gsm paper, colour corrected to the original illustration by the artist Peter Weevers himself. It is supplied with a certificate of authenticity from an edition of 20. Published EXCLUSIVELY by Blue Cat Press.
The giclee process uses the highest quality inks with superb fade resistance to produce the most faithful copy of an artwork it is possible to make.
