Jolly Chaps by Peter Woolcock is from the story Three Men in a Boat

'Well,' said Harris, reaching his hand out for his glass, 'we have had a pleasant trip, and my hearty thanks for it to old Father Thames—but I think we did well to chuck it when we did. Here’s to Three Men well out of a Boat!'

Here Jerome K Jerome's classic tale of three men on boat trip up the Thames from London to Oxford is given a wonderful interpretation by caricature artist Peter Woolcock. This talented artist produced a series of line drawings for a serialised version of the story which appeared in Look and Learn during 1962.
