Escaping From The Weather by Peter Woolcock is from the story Three Men in a Boat

Rainwater is the chief article of diet at supper. The bread is two thirds rainwater, the beefsteak pie is exceedingly rich in it, and the jam, and the butter, and the salt, and the coffee have all combined with it to make soup.

Here Jerome K Jerome's classic tale of three men on boat trip up the Thames from London to Oxford is given a wonderful interpretation by caricature artist Peter Woolcock. This talented artist produced a series of line drawings for a serialised version of the story which appeared in Look and Learn during 1962.
